REQUEST FOR BIDS
The City of Poplar Bluff is interested in seeking sealed bids for the purchase of certain real estate owned by the City and located on B Highway across from the Poplar Bluff Airport. The property is 9.7 acres, more or less, and has been used as farmland for many years and includes an avigation easement.
A legal description of the property is as follows:
All that part of Lot Two (2) of the Northwest Quarter of Section Five (5), Township Twenty-Four (24) North, Range Seven (7) East, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the east line of Lot Two (2) of the Northwest Quarter of said Section Five (5) and the South right of way line of U. S. Highway 60; thence N 88° 37’ W along and with said south right of way 500.00 feet to a point; thence south parallel with the east line of said Lot Two (2) a distance of 1100.88 feet to a point on the north right of way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence, N 78° 59” E along and with said right of way 509.24 feet to a point on the east line of said Lot Two (2); thence north along and with said east line 991.50 to the point of beginning.
The City of Poplar Bluff, by its authorized representatives, shall reserve the right to reject any or all quotations, to select the lowest or best bid and to make decisions which they deem beneficial to the City of Poplar Bluff.
Sealed bids and development plans should be delivered to the office of the City Clerk, 501 Vine Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. The envelope should be clearly marked BID ON SALE OF AIRPORT PROPERTY ON HIGHWAY B.
